PARALEGAL
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Paralegal program is designed to provide students with the education for a paralegal career. The program covers substantive and procedural areas of law, including legal ethics, civil procedure, criminal procedure, legal research and legal writing. The program provides students with legal skill sets, preparing students for industry certification and employment in a multitude of legal settings. Students may also pursue an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Paralegal.
CAREER PATHWAYS
Completers of the Paralegal Certificate of Completion (CCL) program can pursue a variety of careers in the legal field. They may work as paralegals or legal assistants in law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, or nonprofit organizations. Their skills in legal research, document preparation, and case management also qualify them for roles in court administration, real estate, insurance, and compliance departments. Additionally, paralegals can specialize in areas such as criminal law, family law, intellectual property, or litigation, providing support to attorneys and contributing to the efficient handling of legal matters.
