Precision Manufacturing
West-MEC's Adult Education Precision Manufacturing program is a 600 clock-hour hands-on training program that teaches the operation of manual and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. This program teaches students how to operate industry-standard machinery used to shape metals for aerospace, energy generation, and robotics companies. Students will be taught how to replicate precision parts from blueprints while utilizing precise measurement tools and gauges. Mastercam: CAD/CAM computer applications will be among some of the skills that will be taught.
Throughout the program, students will test for the Manual and CNC Certifications from the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).

The Adult Education Precision Manufacturing program completers with a NIMS certification can begin in entry-level roles in the manufacturing sector, such as:
