West-MEC's Adult Education HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) program is a 600 clock-hour comprehensive training program designed to prepare students for careers as entry-level technicians in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration industry. This HVAC-R program covers essential topics such as electrical fundamentals, refrigeration systems, and diagnostics from a technician's perspective, ensuring that students acquire hands-on skills relevant to the job market.
Upon completing the program, students may take the EPA 608 Universal certification exam, a key credential for working in HVAC-R across Arizona. With HVAC systems essential in both residential and commercial buildings, this certification opens the door to a wide range of career opportunities in the field.
