West-MEC’s Adult Education Aviation Maintenance Technology program is a 1,926 clock-hour program that offers hands-on training in aircraft systems maintenance. The program follows all FFA PART 147 school curriculum requirements in areas of study, including engines, landing gear, hydraulics, and more. Program completers are trained with the skills and knowledge needed for entry-level, high-demand aircraft technology careers, such as Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMTs). Additionally, the program qualifies for Federal Student Aid and GI Bill® benefits, making it a convenient and financially accessible option for those seeking a career in the growing aviation industry. Upon completion of the program, students may test* for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) General, Airframe, and Powerplant (A&P) certifications.
